Legumino®

Legumino® rhizobia inoculate

Legumino® is a soil additive (DE) or plant additive (AT) using living microorganisms to inoculate legumes with nitrogen-fixing nodule bacteria.

The air consists of 78% nitrogen, but the plant cannot use it. Rhizobia, also called nodule bacteria, inhabit our arable soils and can fix this nitrogen and make it available to the plant.

This process takes place in nodules on the roots of legumes (pulses). These nodules are formed in the course of the beginning bacteria-plant symbiosis. The better supply of nutrients leads to better growth and up to 20% higher yields. The nitrogen stays in the soil stored and can be of subsequent crops such as (winter) - Cereals are used.

Legumino® is a microbiological rhizobia inoculate (inoculant, vaccine for nodule bacteria). For production, strains from Austrian arable soils are isolated, cultivated and brought onto the market as inoculate from several strains. Austrian biochar is used as an alternative to peat.

Location adapted bacteria

Our bacteria are not imported from Canada or Brazil, but isolated in Austria. In this way we ensure that these bacteria can survive and assert themselves in our soil. Over the years, a healthy rhizobia community accumulates in the soil and provides the soil with sustainable nitrogen.

Biochar instead of peat!

There is no need to drain bog for our product! By not using peat, we prevent the outgassing of climate-damaging methane and carbon dioxide. Our biochar is produced from wood and wheat husks in Austria!

Customer oriented!

We try to help our customers! That is why we do not produce our products for crops such as soy, where there are huge areas, but also for special crops such as fenugreek, chickpeas and mung beans! If rhizobia are not yet available for a culture, please write us an email and we will do our best to change that!

Dosage and application

One pack of Legumino® contains 400 g of inoculate, sufficient for an area of 1 ha. There are at least 1 billion living bacteria per gram of Legumino®. The rhizobia should be applied to the seed before sowing. For larger quantities, you can use a mixer or mix in the powder with your hands in a plastic tub or directly in the seed drill.

  1. Moisten the seeds with water. Optionally, you can achieve even better adhesion with our adhesive Legumino® Stick.
  2. Spread the rhizobia inoculate over the seeds and mix well!
  3. Let the inoculate dry out of sunlight
